Kentisbeare Children's Orchestra

Location:
Kentisbeare Village Hall
Day and Time:
Thursday's evenings in term time 5.30pm to 7pm

Kentisbeare Children's Orchestra is based at the village hall, Kentisbeare, Mid Devon. We welcome all children and aim to cater for all abilities from very new players to those with more experience. We have been making music for 10 years and our orchestra and repertoire grows with our players.

We meet on Thursday's evenings in term time in Kentisbeare Village Hall. We play from 5.30pm to 7pm with a snack break in the middle. Some weeks we split into smaller groups of strings/wind. This helps us to build confidence and skill. Volunteer helpers work with our music director to support the children's learning.

We welcome beginners who have been learning for about a year and have a grasp of music reading. We are proud also to be catering for more advanced players (up to grade 7) who sometimes work in a group on their own and otherwise take a lead in the orchestral sessions, giving invaluable support to the less experienced.

Rehearsals cost £4-00 with term and family discounts.
